Cleveland Browns trade target No. 3: Kyle Fuller, CB

With the Denver Broncos season quickly falling apart, there is potential that they would be willing to move on from a veteran guy like Kyle Fuller who is out of contract at the end of the season for a decent discount.

If you’re the Broncos, wouldn’t you rather get something than nothing? There’s a compensatory formula for losing players and receiving a draft pick that may need to be hurdled, but nothing more than that.

Fuller has been in the league for seven years now, with his first six coming with the Chicago Bears. Not only has he been one of the better cover cornerbacks in the league the last seven seasons, but he also has extreme durability which the Browns desperately need at the position. Fuller played in 16 games for six straight years for the Bears.

I don’t think the Browns lack talent at cornerback. Truthfully, I like all five guys they have right now. However, Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, Greedy Williams, and A.J. Green have all missed snaps in 2021 because of injuries. Ward, Newsome, and Williams all have an extended history of injuries as well.

Why not trade a third our fourth-round pick to the Broncos for a guy to come to play for the remainder of the season and possibly extend for the 2022 season? That would give the Browns a ton of depth and one more year to evaluate giving Ward a huge contract extension.
