Cleveland Browns Matchup No. 2: Myles Garrett vs Dan Moore Jr.

Anytime the Browns come into a push your chips to the center of the table, all-in, type of situation they always have an ace up their sleeve in Myles Garrett. The perennial defensive player of the year candidate has been outstanding through seven games this season.

Garrett has already recorded 9.5 sacks, nine additional tackles for loss, and 18 quarterback hits. The man known as ‘Flash’ is the embodiment of a game wrecker.

In order for the Browns defense to inflict their will upon a fledgling, yet talented, Steelers’ offense, Garrett and his teammates have to own the line of scrimmage. Garrett possesses the ability to single-handedly decimate NFL left tackles, which leaves opponents with no other option than to assign additional bodies to slow number 95 down.

This week will be no different, as the Steelers starting left tackle is a fourth-round rookie out of Texas A&M, Dan Moore Jr.

By himself, Moore stands little to no chance of handling Garrett, so look for Najee Harris and a litany of tight ends to help slow down the Browns’ one-man wrecking crew. Even with the added attention, Garrett will undoubtedly get home once or twice and help free up rushing lanes for his teammates.

Also, of note, Garrett is overdue for one of his patented strip-sacks, and it would not be surprising if he causes one that gets scooped up by fellow uber-athlete Jadeveon Clowney and taken to the house. A play like that could cause an eruption at FirstEnergy Stadium that would register on the Richter Scale.
