Cleveland Browns WR target No. 1: Davante Adams

Davante Adams’ tenure in Green Bay is more than likely over after this season and he is arguably the best available free agent wide receiver in a loaded 2022 class.

The eighth-year pro out of Fresno State turns just 29 on Christmas Eve, so he has plenty of good football ahead of him.

Getting to play with one of the best quarterbacks to ever do it in Aaron Rodgers has certainly helped elevate Adams to superstardom and why all 32 NFL franchises will be looking to acquire him.

Over the course of his career, he has reeled in 604 passes for 7,354 yards and 65 touchdowns. Through the first eight games of the 2021 season, Adams has racked up 58 catches for 786 yards and three scores.

Adams has been one of the best in the league for the past five or six seasons and is the belle of the ball when it comes to the 2022 free-agent class. Should the Browns acquire his services, don’t expect him to bring drama and baggage.

The verdict is still far from out on what the Browns plan to do in free agency in 2022, as there is still a lot of season left to play, but they, like every other team, will have to make a phone call to Adams’ reps to see if they can land the former four-time Pro Bowler.

The wide receiver room in Cleveland will likely look a lot different in 2022 than is currently constructed, and the team would be wise to go out and try to sign one or more of these stud receivers in free agency, should they be able to afford it.
