Cleveland Browns Plate No. 2: Stump Mitchell

When you are in charge of one of the most dominating rooms in the NFL, you absolutely deserve a plate to be saved for you.

In this particular instance, running backs coach and run game coordinator Stump Mitchell should have a plate saved just for him.

Mitchell has a running back room that features the likes of Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, D’Ernest Johnson, and rookie Demetric Felton. Any one of these guys can be great on their own and when they are able to play together, they are a formidable unit.

Chubb leads the team with 851 yards and six touchdowns, despite missing three games. Hunt is awaiting his comeback from a stint on IR due to a calf injury.

In their absence, D’Ernest Johnson was able to make the most of his opportunities and lead the charge for the Browns. In his first-ever start back on Thursday Night Football against the Broncos, Johnson rushed 22 times for 146 yards and a touchdown. In his second start, he rushed for 99 yards while also catching seven passes for 58 yards.

When healthy, this running back room is nearly impossible to stop, hence why the Browns lead the NFL in rushing yards at 156.8 yards per game.

Salute to Stump Mitchell for having these boys always ready to go.
