No. 2: Cleveland Browns LB Anthony Walker

Anthony Walker signed a one-year deal with the Browns in the offseason is getting a nice $3 million this year and he’s earned that paycheck so far. He’s missed three games this year and yet has 85 tackles on the year. In the Browns recent win at Cincinnati, Walker was everywhere and recorded career best14 tackles.

Walker’s top statistical season was in 2019 when he recorded 124 while with the Indianapolis Colts. He’s 40 tackles away from breaking that record with five games to play. With him being an unrestricted free agent after this year, I’m not sure if Walker will stay a Brown, but he certainly can best his career with a few more 14 plus tackle games.

No. 1: Cleveland Browns K Chase McLaughlin

Cleveland’s placekicker, Chase McLaughlin, has had an outstanding season. He’s had a few hiccups of late, but overall has done great and is setting career marks. He has only been in the NFL for three seasons and in his first two years, he was with five different teams. So, coming to Cleveland has given him some stability and certainly the Browns as well, as they have gone through kickers almost as much as quarterbacks.

He’s scored 68 points in 2021, including going 14-of-18 on field goals and an almost perfect 26-of-27 on extra-point attempts. He should easily surpass the 80 points he contributed to three different teams he played on back in 2019.

In the game against the Chicago Bears, McLaughlin added a career highlight of 14 points that included four made field goals. He’s also gone a perfect 4-of-4 on kicks of 50-plus yards.

I’m looking forward to watching McLaughlin kick for the Browns in the future and I hope it’s a long one.
