Cleveland Browns Key Player No. 2:  Linebacker Jeremiah-Owusu-Koramoah

The Cleveland Browns defensive rookie from Notre Dame is having a great season. What he’s added with his instincts, natural abilities, speed, and knock-down tackling need to be given a bit more praise than they already are.

He recorded a season and career-high 13 tackles in the loss to Baltimore just two weeks ago. The Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson, who’s been known to run the ball a bit and keep defenses off-balance, were negated for the most part by the Browns defense in the last game between these two teams. That speed of Koramoah and excellent skill set, like his footwork, helped keep the Ravens’ offense honest.

With the absence of starting middle linebacker Anthony Walker, due to Covid protocols, I see the rookie from Notre Dame trying to step up his game even more. If he could snag an interception on Sunday that would be icing on the cake. Oh wait, the Browns grabbed four of them in the last game and that didn’t end up helping out at all because the Browns offense was a mess.

Still, JOK will need to have another big game to give this offense a chance. He can’t fix their issues but he can do his part. Again.
