Cleveland Browns studs and duds from Week 14 dramatic win
By Greg Newland
Stud No. 2 – Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure that Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah played as well this week as he did the prior, but the guy was still a beast. He only had five tackles, but his energy and athleticism were seen and felt throughout the defense.
Mark Andrews went off for 115 yards and completely torched the Browns defense for most of the day, but JOK was the one guy who had decent coverage a few times. Not only could he stay tight with Andrews, but he could also get him to the ground.
JOK continues to flourish after many thought he may be too small to play linebacker in the NFL. He is a perfect fit for a running quarterback as he can keep containing even in zone coverage. He has also proven to be an extremely effective blitzer.
Somehow so early in his career, he has already mastered playing fast, yet playing under control. You don’t see him overrunning plays, you don’t see him getting blown up by blockers in the interior, and you don’t see him out of position.
I know a lot of you may be tired of me continuing to talk about how good JOK is, but I think this guy could be an elite linebacker in the league for 10 years if he continues at this pace.
