Round 5, pick 155 – Cameron Jurgens, Center, Nebraska

Another position that will need some added depth is the interior offensive line. With J.C. Tretter likely on his way out before 2022, that will make Nick Harris the starter and create a need for a capable backup.

Jurgens is your typical Nebraska offensive lineman and is known for his tremendous push. The good news, he likely won’t need to play in 2022, but could easily be in the future plans with Joel Bitonio likely past his prime.

Round 6, pick 192 – Sterling Weatherford, Safety, Miami-OH

With many Cleveland Browns looking for extensions, one of the odd men out will likely be safety, Ronnie Harrison. This isn’t only a starter but one of the Browns more effective players the last two seasons. Unfortunately, there just won’t be enough cap room to keep him.

With Grant Delpit and John Johnson the likely starters, Joe Woods will be looking for another safety that could have a chance to see a lot of playing time. A guy like Sterling Weatherford from Miami-OH could be the perfect fit.

Weatherford is a monster at 6-foot-4 inches tall and 215 pounds and has a ton of length. In the Cleveland Browns defense, he could quickly become the third safety who has the job of playing all over the field.

There are some questions on the talent he has faced, but in round six, he is a low-risk high reward type pick.

Round 7, pick 222 – Jaylon Robinson, WR, UCF

It’s yet to be decided if the talented wideout from UCF, Jaylon Robinson, will enter the NFL draft, but many believe it will happen. Robinson is a speedy wide receiver that started his career at Oklahoma before transferring to UCF before the 2019 season.

Robinson is undersized at only165 pounds but has the ability to take a play the distance at any time. At his size, he will likely never be more than a gimmick player, but if the Browns could take him in the seventh round and get five to eight plays a game, it may be worth the risk.
