AFC North free agent to sign No. 2 – Ray-Ray McCloud, Wide Receiver

I wanted to focus on a receiver in the division because the need is so big for the Cleveland Browns, but the top two guys just aren’t great fits. Many argue JuJu Smith-Schuster should be a target, but I’m just not a fan. Remember, he had a guy like Ben Roethlisberger throwing to him, I’m not convinced he will have near the production without an elite throwing quarterback.

The other guy I looked at was Sammy Watkins, the former No. 4 overall pick just hasn’t lived up to expectations. He had a strong first two years in the league but hasn’t done anything since and continues to battle injures.

A guy I do like though is Ray-Ray McCloud from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now, he isn’t going to come in and challenge for the number one receiver position. But he is great at returning kicks and has a lot of speed that can be utilized on offense.

The biggest thing I like is his ability to return kicks. Demetric Felton started out okay but quickly became a below-average returner in my opinion. The fact that McCloud can give you something on offense as well is huge.

Even 10 snaps a game where he comes in motion and maybe takes a reverse can be a huge help to this offensive line. Not to mention his ability to run deep routes and break free from man coverage.
