Potential Landing Spot No. 5

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are a team that really intrigues me when it comes to a potential landing spot for Jarvis Landry. While they did make the playoffs this year, they are still a little weak at the wide receiver position.

Rookie receiver DeVonta Smith had himself quite the debut campaign. In 17 games, Smith caught 64 passes for 916 yards and five touchdowns. The next highest pass-catcher was tight end Dallas Goedert, who caught 56 passes for 830 yards and four touchdowns. The next closest wide receiver was Quez Watkins, who reeled in 43 passes for 647 yards and one touchdown.

Second-year receiver Jalen Reagor did not take the next step in his career this season, as he only caught 33 passes for 299 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Many believed he would be a go-to target for quarterback Jalen Hurts, but that was not the case.

Hurts had a pretty good 2021 season, throwing for 3,144 yards with16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions, while also rushing for 784 yards and 10 touchdowns. An ankle injury slowed him down in the second half of the season, but still not a bad campaign despite having two pass catchers with more than 50 receptions.

Landry could be a perfect fit for this offense and this locker room. Hurts is able to extend plays with his legs should the pocket collapse, which would give Landry more time to find the open space.
