Cleveland Browns question No. 3 – Can the drama go away?

I don’t care what anyone says, there was a ton of drama for the Cleveland Browns this season and there is no doubt that caused issues. It all started with the injury to Baker Mayfield. The constant questions on if he was going to be able to play that week.

Then as the season went on the questions turned to if he should play again because he was performing so poorly. His offensive line was battered, and it seemed like the offense was short-handed every single week with playmakers.

We certainly can’t forget about the Odell Beckham debacle. Truthfully, it was best for both parties that the relationship ended, but I wasn’t a fan of how he all but forced his way out. Be a man and ask for a trade, don’t ask your dad to post a video on YouTube to do the job.

Then we get to the Jarvis Landry and Beckham relationship. They are obviously close and then separated. Landry handled it well, but there is no doubt that caused some issues.

Last but not least, the frustration from the players. Mayfield calling out coaches and play calling. Myles Garrett did a similar thing earlier in the season about in-game adjustments. Again, these situations need to be handled, but handle them outside of the media. Don’t’ just give someone an easy story to write.

If the Browns want to turn things around, Kevin Stefanski better find a way to get the drama out of the locker room.
