Cleveland Browns: 4 tight ends to watch in the Senior Bowl
Cleveland Browns Senior Bowl Tight End No. 4: Isaiah Likely – Coastal Carolina
One tight end that is likely to be scouted by the Cleveland Browns is Isaiah Likely out of Coastal Carolina. His Senior Bowl measurements are as follows: 6-feet-3-inches tall, 241 pounds, a 78-inch wingspan, 33 ¼-inch arm length, and 10-inch hands.
He had a tremendous senior season for the Chanticleers. He caught 59 passes for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns. Obviously, you can’t fully compare it, but he would’ve been the Browns leading receiver in 2021 had he been on the team with those numbers.
He is an athletic tight end, but he is not necessarily the biggest in terms of what a tight end typically is. His arm length will hurt him some against some of the league’s best pass rushers, but where he lacks there, he has the strength to make up for it.
In 2021, he was a second-team All-American and a first-team All-Sun Belt selection. Accolades don’t necessarily guarantee that you will be a coveted draft prospect, but they also don’t hurt either. The tape will reveal to Andrew Berry if Likely is a player that will fit what the Browns want to do schematically.
According to Bleacher Report, Likely is projected to be a fourth-round selection in April. That might not be a bad time to draft him, depending on how the rest of the draft falls for the Browns.
