3 Potential Cleveland Browns safety targets in the 2022 NFL Draft

Cleveland Browns safety target No. 1: Lewis Cine, Georgia
The Browns may not be targeting a safety early in Round 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft but if they do it might be for Georgia’s Lewis Cine. Cine is not afraid to hit anybody and was a major piece in Georgia’s National Championship this season.
Cine is a guy that can play in several spots including deep and also in the box, versatility adding to his skill set. He is a sure tackler not missing many tackles, something the Browns struggled with at times in 2021.
Reaction speed is top-notch, he abides by the old football adage, sees ball hit ball — and he does it very quickly. He is one of the top safety prospects for a reason, wouldn’t be surprised if he tests off the charts at the NFL Combine. If you are looking for a safety that can do it all then Lewis Cine is that guy.
Cine is just as good against the run as he is in coverage, both man, and zone. Again the Browns may not target safety early enough to draft him but if your three safeties are John Johnson III, Grant Delpit, and Cine that could be an elite bunch. The Browns’ strength was their defense, and their secondary, and adding to that talent could really make that group elite.
