Cleveland Browns SB Free Agent No. 2: Austin Corbett, LA Rams, OL

The offensive lineman was originally drafted by Cleveland in 2018 but Austin Corbett was traded to the Rams in 2019. He’s been a regular starter on the Rams offensive line for the past three seasons. He’s a very versatile player and could help a Browns line that has been solid but also hampered by injuries. Corbett has been a great player for the Rams. He’s been very consistent and a healthy lineman.

Cleveland has had numerous offensive linemen out due to injuries and many weeks the team has been piecing the line together. The Browns have one UFA from the offensive line in Chris Hubbard and they have two other players Blake Hance and Michael Dunn who could also play elsewhere next season because of their contracts.

Would Corbett even consider returning to the team that drafted him but then traded him? He’s shown that he can be a reliable lineman and one the Browns should take a good look at in a few weeks.

Cleveland Browns SB Free Agent No. 3: Larry Ogunjobi, Cincinnati Bengals, DT

Since we’re discussing former Browns players, that are playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, let’s not forget about Larry Ogunjobi, who left Cleveland a year ago and signed a one-year deal with the Bengals. He’s been a very consistent defensive tackle over his career. He was a regular starter with Cleveland since he was drafted as a third-round pick in 2017. He signed a $6 million contract with Cincinnati so he would be a cheap addition to the Browns if they were to pursue him again.

And as was mentioned about Corbett before, the question remains as to whether or not Ogunjobi would consider a return to a team that wasn’t interested in giving him a bigger deal with them. This past season he had his most productive year as a pro. That included a career-best seven sacks. The Cleveland defensive line needs some upgrades as it struggled to stop the run and provided greater pressure on the quarterback. A return of Ogunjobi would be an upgrade.

He was a popular player on the Browns teams of the past and a fan favorite as well. Make sure to watch for him Sunday as he has fun playing in his first Super Bowl.
