Cleveland Browns Make or Break Player No. 4 – Rookie Wide Receiver

It’s weird to feel like you know what a team is going to do, but just like we knew pick No. 10 of the 2020 draft was going to be an offensive tackle, there are very few doubts that pick No. 13 in 2022 will be a wide receiver.

Everyone knows the issue that the Cleveland Browns had in 2021 at the position. Odell Beckham was a drama-filled diva that finally forced his way out. I have no problem with him being unhappy, but the way he forced his release was unprofessional.

Donovan Peoples-Jones was okay, but not what we expected. Anthony Schwartz who no one expected a ton from, did just that, little to nothing after Week 1. And last but not least, Jarvis Landry is just not himself. He struggled with injuries and had too many drops and crucial bad plays that cost this team several times.

I’m not sure who it will be, but whatever receiver the Browns draft will play a crucial part in how the 2022 season goes. They will need to have serious production as a rookie, and they will need to have instant chemistry with Baker Mayfield who will hopefully be healthy.

This rookie wide receiver will likely be thrown in at the No. 2 guy but will be asked to work across the middle and be an elite route runner. At this moment, it feels like the Browns may have their pick at all the top prospects, and Garrett Wilson makes all the sense in the world.
