Cleveland Browns Player to Trade for Elite Quarterback No. 3 – Nick Chubb

A lot of you will hate this list but hear me out. I know Nick Chubb has been a fantastic player for the Cleveland Browns and I thought the deal to extend him was more than fair for the player and the team. However, why wouldn’t you consider trading him for an elite quarterback?

I’m not talking about getting a guy like Ryan Fitzpatrick, I’m talking about a guy like Aaron Rodgers, DeShaun Watson, or Russell Wilson. Guys that could come into Cleveland and instantly make the team Super Bowl favorites.

Look at the successful teams in the NFL. Do you see the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, or Los Angeles Rams spending big money on running backs? Chubb is a fantastic player, but we have seen firsthand that D’Ernest Johnson stepped in just fine and led the team to a huge win.

While I would be willing to include Chubb in a package for an elite quarterback, there honestly may not be a ton of interest in him from opposing teams. Chubb has been extremely consistent, but he’s at the point in his career where one injury could end his career quickly.

All I’m saying is, if the Packers, Seahawks, or Texans were interested in Chubb, he should not be off the table to land the right quarterback. Remember, an elite quarterback can win you five or six games a year that a running back just can’t.
