3 post-combine possibilities for Cleveland Browns at pick No. 13

Cleveland Browns Pick No. 13 Prospect No. 3 – Malik Willis, Quarterback, Liberty

I get it, I know taking a quarterback at pick No. 13 this year seems like a setback with Baker Mayfield on the roster, but this guy Malik Willis may be the perfect fit and worth the risk.

You lose a first-rounder to replace another position of need in 2022, but you may very well have your long-term quarterback who will get a year to sit behind a motivated Mayfield.

The biggest question on Willis is, what are you getting? The guy played at an extremely small school and we haven’t seen him go against a ton of top-end talent.

Willis did nothing but improve his stock at the combine as he instantly seemed to fit in.  You didn’t once see him push the envelope or force a throw to prove that he belonged. The highlight of his day was a deep ball to Garrett Wilson that was a beauty after missing on his first attempt.

Willis is a great athlete with a strong arm and showed that he has the accuracy needed. The Kevin Stefanski offense could be the perfect setup for Willis and he truthfully could be your 2022 starter if you chose. His athleticism helps him get out of tough situations, and the Browns running game would be a huge help.

The big question? Will he be there at pick No. 13? It always seems like at least three quarterbacks go in the top 10, so there is a chance the Browns won’t have the difficult decision on whether to pass or draft Willis.
