5 moves to finally get the Cleveland Browns to a Super Bowl

Cleveland Browns move to make the Super Bowl No. 1 – Bring back Clowney
After getting David Njoku for what appears to be a slight discount, the Cleveland Browns now need to be all in on re-signing Jadeveon Clowney. While he didn’t have the stat line of Myles Garrett, the guy was equally productive on defense and made this unit so much better.
The big fear with Clowney is that his market value may be at an all-time high, and some believe he could get a contract worth more than $20 million per year. The Browns have taken the bet that he liked Cleveland by allowing him to test free agency, but I hope these two get a deal done soon.
Clowney has a lot to lose by leaving. In back-to-back seasons as the No. 1 pass rusher with the Seahawks and Titans, he was extremely unproductive. He had a ton of injuries and really struggled with all the extra attention.
With Garrett on his opposite side, he thrived with one on one opportunities and made it nearly impossible for teams to run at him. One has to think Clowney is smart enough to realize how good he may have it in Cleveland.
Injuries are still a concern, but Clowney was readily available for a majority of the 2021 season. If Berry could get him for 2-years, $40 million, I would sign that deal in a second. You can always draft a defensive end at No. 13, but you have no idea what kind of production you will get at that position.
With a roster that is so close already, take the sure bet in Clowney.
