Cleveland Browns: 3 potential landing spots for Jarvis Landry
Jarvis Landry potential landing spot No. 1: Buffalo Bills
The new NFL league year kicked off on Wednesday (3/16 – shout out Stone Cold Steve Austin) and the Bills are pushing their chips all in. Now, before we get to that, let’s discuss the fact that no team in the history of team sports has ever won a championship in the offseason. There have been many paper champions over the years, including the Browns believe it or not, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to actual championships.
On Wednesday, Buffalo signed EDGE rusher Von Miller and tight end O.J. Howard. The Miller signing came out of virtually nowhere as many expected him to re-sign with the Rams, but that was not to be. Instead, Buffalo upgraded their already stacked roster.
Where does Landry fit in Buffalo? In the same place as he always does; in the slot. He would have Josh Allen throwing him the ball and yet again, that is an instant upgrade over Mayfield. That’s just the reality of it all.
Landry could take over the role once played by Emmanuel Sanders in 2021. Sanders caught 42 passes for 626 yards and four touchdowns. Landry finished with 52 receptions for 570 yards and a pair of scores. Landry would bring that veteran leadership and grittiness to another blue-collar town and team.
The Bills seemingly all-in on a Super Bowl run in 2022 would be a perfect fit for Landry and would put the latter in another position to win a championship.
