Ranking the 2022 Cleveland Browns opposing quarterbacks
Cleveland Browns 2022 Opposing QB No. 2: Josh Allen
If you were to redraft the 2018 NFL draft, you would be hard-pressed to find a general manager that would pass on Josh Allen as the No. 1 overall pick. Allen’s progress since being selected by the Buffalo Bills has been nothing short of miraculous. Looked at as a quarterback with both an unquantifiable ceiling as well as a floor, Allen has been an alien in terms of development.
Now entering his fifth season in the NFL, he has every tool imaginable at his disposal: height, weight, arm strength, decision making, quickness, and the physicality reserved for only the truly elite. Allen can play in the system, or he can be the system if the game calls for it.
The Bills are on the shortlist of teams ready to compete for the Lombardi trophy, and Allen is the main reason why.
Cleveland Browns 2022 Opposing QB No. 1: Tom Brady
How shocked are you right now? If there is a list, and Tom Brady is an option for the list, there is a 99 percent chance that he ends up at number one. This list is no different. What superlatives can be said about Brady that have not already been exhausted? Point blank Brady is the G.O.A.T.
With all of the ballyhoo out of the way, Brady will be coming to Cleveland this upcoming season. Even with another year around the sun and a new head coach running the show, Brady will be the best quarterback that the Browns will face in 2022.
Who knows, if he decides to stick around to obliterate every record ever set for quarterbacks, we could be saying the same thing about Brady in 2026.
