In his first break of silence since the Cleveland Browns traded for Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield continues to blame everyone else for his problems.

Baker Mayfield has remained quiet (for him) since the trade for Deshaun Watson end his days with the Cleveland Browns. That was until he decided to appear in the YNK Podcast.

In his latest remarks from that interview, a few items certainly stood out.

And it wasn’t in a good way.

The first quote was “I feel disrespected 100 percent. I was told one thing and they completely did another.”

The second quote is, “I would love to show up to someone’s cubicle and boo the shit out of them.”

The first thing that comes to my mind is, does this man understand how business works? While we may not get booed, if I was as average and mediocre as he was last year at my job, some very serious conversations would have happened.

The second thing I think about, this poor kid can’t get out of his way. He already has no interest from other teams, and he continues to lash out at his current employer. If I’m the Seattle Seahawks, why do I want a guy on my roster that is going to bad mouth me when something goes wrong?

Yes, Baker took the Browns to the playoffs for the first time in 20 seasons, he got them their first win since 1994. We all appreciate what he did, and most of us were willing to see if he could have a great 2022 coming off an injury.

But the bottom line is, that the NFL is a business and it’s a business where winning is most important. Do you really blame Andrew Berry for trading for a guy like Deshaun Watson? I know there are some off-the-field questions, but with all of that aside, it’s a clear upgrade.

Had Mayfield been the quarterback in 2022 and he had another subpar season, not only would Mayfield be without a job, but there is also a chance that Berry was fired as well. Never blame a person for making as much money as possible, and never blame someone for hedging their future with someone they believe in.

Mayfield continues to wear his emotions on his sleeve. If he can win 12-games a year and compete or a Super Bowl, you can get away with it.

If you win 8-games on a loaded roster, you start to look silly.
