Cleveland Browns DE option No. 2: Kingsley Enagbare, South Carolina
Kingsley Engabare, a four-year standout from South Carolina, has all the intangibles to become a solid player in the NFL. He’s considered a good pick by most but has also had some inconsistencies in his game, especially against the run. He would be a slight risk for the Browns to take him at No. 44 but it might be worth it.
In his time at South Carolina, he recorded 121 tackles and 15 sacks. 24 of those tackles were for losses so the youngster knows how to get into the backfield and be a menace. He’s a bit bigger in edge rusher size standing at 6-foot-4 and around 280 but he plays with a swiftness that makes it look easy when he’s trying to get to the ball.
He has a good quick step and can get by the offensive linemen with a variety of moves or he can simply power through the protection on his way to the quarterback.
He did have a serious injury in his junior season where he had surgery on his hip so that has some scouts being cautious with their projections.
He did return and had a good senior season so that concern may not be necessarily that big of a deal. However, a hip injury at such a young age can create some doubts.
