Cleveland Browns: 3 ideal NFL Draft picks in first two rounds
Cleveland Browns Ideal NFL Draft Pick at No. 78
Travis Jones, Defensive Lineman, Connecticut
I don’t think that Travis Jones will be available in the third round, but the last mock draft I did had him falling to the Browns at 78, so I’m going to roll with that. This was actually excellent for me as a fan, because I’ve been high n Jones for a while now and that would be an incredible value to help fix the defensive line. I can even make the argument that he can be the pick at 44 if Berry and company like him that much.
This dude is powerful and violent and that is exactly what this Browns defensive front desperately needs. They need someone to come in and help stop the run and get after the quarterback and Jones is someone who can do that job. He’s great at getting pressure which on this line would free up lanes for Garrett and Clowney, should he re-sign with the Browns.
Another thing that Jones can do for the Browns is play in multiple sets which would further enhance the chances of him becoming an every-down tackle. Cleveland could then go out and sign a veteran free agent to pair up with Jones and that would really go a long way in fixing the hole in the line.
