3 Reasons Baker Mayfield is the best quarterback available during the draft

Reason Baker Mayfield is the best available QB No. 2 – Experience
Not only did Baker Mayfield gain experience in his time with the Cleveland Browns, but he has also won 29 games as a starting quarterback in the NFL, and has an additional playoff win in 2020. I know some think I don’t appreciate what he did in Cleveland, but if you look at the 2014-2017 and then what he did for the organization, it’s unbelievable.
I was never one that said Mayfield couldn’t be a great starting NFL quarterback, I just didn’t think he would be able to win a Super Bowl with this Cleveland Browns roster. A team like the Giants is obviously looking to win a Super Bowl, but just a nine-or-10-win season would likely go a long way for fans.
That experience not only is good for the position, but it’s good for the rest of your roster. Mayfield can join a team and instantly make a few guys on the offense better (or at least the same). A rookie who is playing in his first season as an NFL starter can often bring guys’ talent down.
Think of all the great players the Browns have had and were completely wasted by poor quarterback play. I would argue guys that bounced out of the league after two years could have had a chance if they just had someone to get them the ball.
Mayfield isn’t going to throw for 4,500 yards and 40 touchdowns, but if you give him a few weapons he can keep you competitive in every single game.
