Player No. 3 available to the Cleveland Browns on Day 2: WR, Skyy Moore, Western Michigan

Western Michigan’s Skyy Moore will likely be there at No. 44 if Cleveland stays put. He still could be there at No. 78 and No. 99, the next two picks for the Browns — although that’s not as likely.

The wide receiver had a solid career up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He’s an excellent route runner and can get away from his defender with his skill set. He could slide into that slot position and become a very reliable receiver for the team but is also a threat on the outside.

If the Browns want a possession receiver with great hands and a player that can help move the chains Moore’s an outstanding selection. He finished grabbing 95 passes for 1,292 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. Having him work with a few veterans like Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones and learn under their direction would be a smart move by Cleveland.

Player No. 2 available to the Cleveland Browns on Day 2: DE, Boye Mafe, Minnesota

Boye Mafe, the Minnesota Golden Gopher defensive end is another talented player still available. The Browns may have to move up to get him when Day 2 starts but Mafe would be an outstanding pick to help bolster the Browns defense even more. With the uncertainty if veteran free agent Jadeveon Clowney is returning to the team, taking Mafe would be smart.

Mafe had been projected by various mock drafts to go in the first round so having him available on Day 2 is very good for the Browns. In his last season with the Gophers, he had 34 tackles including 10 for a loss. He also had seven sacks.

He’s a solid 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. He’s a force to be reckoned with. Watching tape on Mafe and listening to some of his NFL Combine interviews you just hear and see an athlete that fits the Browns mold of a player. The way that he can understand the game and the various situations he’s facing every other play and be able to elaborate on that was impressive.

The team has to find more young talent at the edge position and Mafe will make sure to get into the opponents backfield a lot but he’s also excellent in dropping back in pass coverage and understands game situations already very well. Just imagine for a moment having Myles Garrett and Mafe on either end of that line.
