Cleveland Browns Bubble Player No. 3: Ja’Marcus Bradley

Wide receiver Ja’Marcus Bradley has been flirting with being a fringe roster player for the past two seasons. In his limited on-field action, Bradley has looked the part of a dynamic playmaker on the outside. Although the vast majority of his time in Cleveland has been spent on the practice squad.

But it should be noted that the Browns have protected his status on the practice squad on two occasions. There is obviously something in Bradley’s game that the Brown think they can develop. Unfortunately for Bradley, the Browns have overhauled their wide receiver corps.

The overhaul began when the Browns released Jarvis Landry and let Rashaad Higgins walk in free agency. Those moves corresponded with the trade and re-signing of Amari Cooper and the free-agent acquisition of Jakeem Grant.

Then this past draft saw two more additions to the wide receiver room along with three UDFAs. When you factor in Donovan Peoples-Jones and Anthony Schwartz pretty much being locks, it’s going to be tough sledding for all of the new additions from over the weekend, with the exception of David Bell, to make the team.

The moves raised the ceiling and the floor of the Browns’ wide receiver position. It is going to be awfully crowded at training camp this summer and Bradley stands little chance of hanging around this season.
