Cleveland Browns player No. 3 with pressure on in Year 2: Anthony Schwartz

That next player is Anthony Schwartz. The Auburn speedster was brought to Cleveland as a wide receiver in the third round of the draft a year ago. His track star speed was going to set him apart from others. However, his lack of wide receiver skills in other areas like route running and having reliable hands to catch the football weren’t his best attributes.

Now Cleveland has brought in Amari Cooper and drafted two new wide receivers including David Bell of Purdue who is an excellent receiver and has great hands and feel for the game and rarely dropped a pass in college. Schwartz wore several hats as well last season as he ran the ball a few times and also field kicks.

He ended up taking 15 kickoffs and had a season-best 35-yard run back on one of them. In the wide receiver room though he only managed to catch 10 passes. With the before-mentioned Grant and Bell, Schwartz might be in the biggest fight of his life to stay on the team through training camp.

If he gets better at his route running and can be relied on by his new quarterback Deshaun Watson then he’ll be with the team in the fall.
