Cleveland Browns schedule release: 2022 full-season predictions
By Randy Gurzi
Week 13, Dec. 4: Cleveland Browns at Houston Texans
Talk about intrigue. As long as Deshaun Watson doesn’t get suspended — and there’s a belief it won’t happen in 2022 — this will be the first chance he has to stick it to his old team. Look for him to do just that as he throws for 400-plus yards in his old stadium during a blowout win.
Prediction: Browns 37, Texans 14
Week 14, Dec. 11: Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland’s big win in Week 13 will help them as they head to Cincinnati for Round 2. The Bengals beat them by three early in the season on Monday Night Football but the Browns get the last laugh. This is a game where their defense shows up and the running game takes over.
Look for Myles Garrett to begin another strong push for Defensive Player of the Year while Nick Chubb crosses the goal line multiple times in a statement win.
Prediction: Browns 28, Bengals 24
Week 15, Dec. 18: Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens
Another AFC North rematch leads to another split as the Browns get revenge for the Ravens win earlier in the season. While Baltimore got a one-score win at home earlier, Cleveland does the same as they hold off Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense late in a slug-fest.
Prediction: Browns 17, Ravens 13
Week 16, Dec. 24: Cleveland Browns vs. New Orleans Saints
There’s a belief the New Orleans Saints won’t be good in 2022 but that might not be the case. They were 5-2 with Jameis Winston starting and they added Chris Olave to the mix — plus they should have a healthy Michael Thomas back.
As nice as the four-game winning streak will be, this one will hurt as the Saints pull off an upset, making things incredibly tight for Cleveland in the AFC North race.
Prediction: Saints 21, Browns 16
Record in December: 3-1
Overall Record: 10-5
