The Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills both believe they’re the top team in the AFC. This season, they’ll get a chance to settle the score.

Once the Las Vegas Raiders kicked the game-winning field goal to defeat the Los Angeles Chargers, the curtain came down on the 2021 regular season. This meant that the opponents for the 2022 season were finalized for the Cleveland Browns.

As soon as the list of opponents was unveiled, there were probably certain games that Browns fans were circling, guessing whether they were going to happen in the Dawg Pound or on the road. But then the craziest offseason in NFL history happened, which completely changed the entire landscape of the league.

As a result, certain matchups that didn’t look intriguing at first became must-watch television. For the Browns, their most intriguing game will be November 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM EST. Who are the Browns playing on that day? They’ll be traveling to western New York to take on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium.

Right off the bat, it is an absolute travesty that this game between the Browns and Bills is a 1:00 game. This game should have been on either Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football, but not Thursday Football because TNF is terrible. This game feels like it’s going to be a clash of the AFC titans, maybe we’ll see this matchup again in the AFC Championship.

If we were to get the Cleveland Browns at the Buffalo Bills or the Buffalo Bills at the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Championship, I believe it would be the most-watched game in the HISTORY of the NFL. Bills Mafia and the Dawg Pound are two of the most passionate fan bases in the league. You could even make an argument that they are the two most passionate fan bases in the NFL.

It always seems to be a fun game when these two teams play each other. The last time the Bills and Browns met was in Week 10 of the 2019 season in Cleveland. In that game, the Browns defeated the Bills 19-16. Sure that was a fairly low-scoring game, but it came down to the final 20 seconds and a missed field goal by Buffalo.

As long as everything works out with Deshaun Watson this season, can you imagine that quarterback duel between Waston and Allen?  Now I don’t know about you, but this feels like a game where you find your favorite spot on the couch, grab a bowl of popcorn, and enjoy your favorite beverage.

Both Watson and Allen are athletic quarterbacks, which means they’re not easy to bring down. Both quarterbacks are extremely effective when it comes to utilizing their athleticism.

They’re both great at extending plays, allowing the skill position players to break away from their defender and get open. Both quarterbacks can also use their athleticism to escape the pocket and pick up yards. That could make all the difference between third down and eight vs. third down and four.

But there’s more to this Week 11 showdown in western New York being the most intriguing game on the 2022 Browns schedule than just passionate fanbases and athletic quarterbacks.

Think about the possible playoff implications of this game. Thus, it’s even more surprising that this game between Cleveland and Buffalo is a 1:00 game and not in primetime on Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football.

The possible playoff implications of this game are absolutely gigantic. Let’s say that the Browns win this game against Buffalo, that would give them the tiebreaker over the Bills. That tiebreaker could be crucial when it comes to the playoff picture. What if the Browns and Bills are dueling to get the no.1 seed in the AFC? This game could ultimately be the deciding factor.

All these factors make this the most intriguing game for Cleveland in 2022.
