Deshaun Watson surprising stat No. 3: October and November are his favorite month for winning
Watson must love the fall season because that’s when he’s been at his best with wins for his team. His record between October and November is 18-8 overall in his career. No other time frame for Watson is as impressive.
That bodes well for the Browns this season as they play the Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers all these two months of the season.
Deshaun Watson surprising stat No. 2: On Thursday Night Football, he’s a winner
Watson has a 4-1 record in Thursday Night Game matchups. That is a good sign as Cleveland will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in a week three matchup.
Deshaun Watson surprising stat No. 1: Over 50 yards rushing is good
When you start digging into the stats of Watson, you’ll see that when he goes over 50 yards on the ground that’s a good sign that the team is going to win. The Texans had a 5-1 record when Watson went over 50 yards including their playoff game win back in 2019 when they beat the Buffalo Bills.
In that comeback win, Watson had a 20-yard run for the touchdown. He carried the ball 14 times that game for 55 yards.
The fact that Watson is that dual-threat to his opponents and having such a talented offensive unit this season, especially with an already established run game of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will make the Browns a very tough out next season.
