Cleveland Browns player who will struggle to start the year no. 1- Jordan Elliott, defensive tackle

The defensive tackle room continues to be the weakest part of the roster as the Browns are set to open training camp next month. Jordan Elliott has not provided much production for the Browns and is currently penciled in at one of the starting spots when training camp begins.

The Browns have got to see a big jump out of Jordan Elliott to take the pressure off the younger players at the position like Togiai and Winfrey. However, in his career, Elliott just has 0.5 career sacks after being a pass-rushing specialist in college.

Elliott hasn’t shown consistency or pass-rushing rooms that will work against NFL-level offensive lineman during his two-year career. He has got to show that he can win with technique and not just being a superior athlete, being a great athlete who worked in college but doesn’t work in the NFL when everyone is a great athlete.

If he can improve his technique and develop legitimate pass-rushing moves he does have the raw skill to be a consistent rusher.

This season will truly be a put-up or shut-up season for Elliott with the Browns, if he struggles he isn’t likely to stick around much past this year.
