Re-grading the 2020 Cleveland Browns draft class

2020 Cleveland Browns round 5 pick number 160- Nick Harris, center, Washington
Over his first two years center, Nick Harris has only started three games, with just one of those at center which came last season. The Browns however have gotten a good look at the player as he took most of the first-team reps in practice with veteran JC Tretter out dealing with injuries.
The Browns felt comfortable releasing Tretter because Harris is on the roster, telling us what they think of the player. Harris showed flashes in his one start against Green Bay and one of the better defensive tackles in the league in Kenny Clark. Harris is an athletic lineman with a great ability to move in the open field and a motor that plays through the end of the whistle on every play.

2020 Cleveland Browns round 6 pick number 187- Donovan Peoples-Jones, wide receiver, Michigan
Donovan Peoples-Jones is a former 5-star recruit that dealt with awful quarterback play in college and wasn’t developed. Due to this, he slipped to the 6th round despite having great athleticism and physical tools. During his rookie season, he wasn’t utilized that often as the Browns brought him along slowly, but his presence was felt by making a few big plays in key moments.
He took a step forward in 2021, despite not likely being ready to be the team’s number one receiver he had the role thrust on him due to injuries and Odell Beckham being released.
DPJ lead the Browns in receiving yards in a year you could see he was still learning the position at the NFL level. Now with potential improved quarterback play and less pressure with Amari Cooper in Cleveland, Peoples-Jones is poised to prove he was a late-round steal.
