Where Baker Mayfield ranks in Browns history

By the numbers: How does Baker Mayfield stack up?
When you start reviewing the numbers that Baker Mayfield put together in his four seasons, you see a player that did well in several departments but still left us wondering why he couldn’t win more in the end.
Currently, he’s ranked fourth overall in franchise history in terms of passing yards with 14,125. His 92 touchdowns place him in fifth place compared to the other former Browns quarterbacks — which is honestly very impressice.
Mayfield finished with a 29-30 record in his four seasons with Cleveland which is a far cry from the 1-31 they managed before his arrival. Still, Mayfield had that great 2020 campaign where the Browns finished with an 11-5 record and also won a playoff game (against the Steelers nonetheless), but his other three seasons were much less impressive.
Outside of 2020, Mayfield never led his team to a winning season. While his rookie campaign started out with a bang, he finished going 6-7 that year. In 2019, he struggled with turnovers, and the team went 6-10.
When the Browns brought in new coach Kevin Stefanski in 2020 and they went 11-5, you thought that maybe Mayfield would continue that success into this past season. But that wasn’t the case and Mayfield struggled again and the team couldn’t get back to the playoffs.
