3 rookies who will be critical to Cleveland Browns success in 2022

No. 1: Cade York
Yes, Cade York is the most important rookie to the Browns success this season.
How many times in recent history has Cleveland seemingly thought they have had their guy in terms of a kicker, only to be let down by them later on down the road?
If the Browns seriously want to be a contender and a legit Super Bowl candidate, they have to be a complete roster from the ground up. If it weren’t for a rookie for the Bengals last season in Evan McPherson, I can sit here and confidently say they wouldn’t have made it to the Super Bowl.
McPherson had two game-winners in their amazing playoff run last season, all while going a perfect 7-for-7 throughout the entire postseason.
Entering camp and already being told as a rookie that you won’t have any competition and you’re their guy no matter what will do a lot for a confidence booster. York doesn’t have to think about any of that; he just has to go out there and make field goals.
No more losing games because of a missed extra point or because you get into field goal range with the game on the line and you can’t finish the job because of an incapable kicker. York was drafted so high for a reason, and if he can live up to the player he is supposed to be, the Browns will be in good shape.
