No. 2 Myles Garrett, DE

There may be some debate at this point of who’s the No. 1 Browns player on this team today. Yes, I’m ranking Myles Garrett at No. 2, which may surprise some. He was the No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft and he’s certainly lived up to the hype. But he’s not my No. 1. We’ll get to that player on the next page.

Routinely, Garrett is ranked among the top two or three defensive ends in the NFL. He recently made it to the “99 Club” on the popular EA Madden 23 video game. He was ranked No. 1 in their ranking ahead of T. J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Garrett has done almost everything for this team. Their success in part has to do with the dominance Garrett has demonstrated playing off the edge. He requires opponents to bring double and triple teams to prevent him from sacking the quarterback every play. His teammate Jadeveon Clowney played like an All-Pro since he joined the Browns last season due to Garrett demanding so much attention.

Garrett had an impressive, team record 16 sacks a season ago. He’s been named to three Pro Bowls, and been named two years as a First Team All-Pro. He’s also been named in the NFL Top 100 every year. The Sporting News, Pro Football Focus (PFF), and Associated Press have all named him a first teamer over the years as well.

If Garrett has another superior season and can show consistency in his play throughout the entire year, then he could climb back to the No. 1 spot.

So, who is No. 1?
