Harrison Bryant. 2. player. 53. . .

No. 2 Harrison Bryant, TE

What I’ve like so far about tight end Harrison Bryant in his first two seasons with the Browns is the consistency he’s shown. He’s been primarily the third tight end to this point with Austin Hooper (who’s now a Tennessee Titan) and David Njoku playing ahead of him. He has had opportunities in the past and made some plays but hasn’t been the primary guy to this point.

In his previous two seasons with the team, the former Florida Atlantic player has put up pretty steady numbers. In 2020 he caught 24 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns. Last season he caught 21 footballs for 233 yards and three scores. In both seasons 14 of his catches went for first downs. He did increase his percentage of passes caught from 63 to 75 last season as well.

Now that Hooper is gone and Njoku will be targeted by the opponent much more frequently going into this new season I see Bryant as that next secret weapon for Cleveland. He’s been pretty consistent in the past at catching passes and also getting better each season in the ability to block the defense on plays.

All that attention given to Njoku could make Bryant a name for himself down the line. He’s had the luxury to sit behind a couple of seasoned vets, but now I believe he’ll welcome the change and surprise many on his way to a career season. He can be another secret weapon this season but won’t remain a secret for long.
