Greedy Williams felt like a steal in the 2019 NFL Draft when Cleveland landed him in the second round. He played well as a rookie with 47 tackles and a couple of pass breakups in 12 games but then missed his entire second season due to a nerve issue in his neck.

With the Browns uncertain about his future, they drafted Greg Newsome II in the 2021 NFL Draft and the first-round pick proved to be a stud. On top of that, Newsome is continuing to show out in the team’s 2022 camp.

Also making a name for himself is A.J. Green, a former undrafted free agent who continues to shine. Green had 21 tackles and a pick in his second season in the league and is playing lights out during camp for Cleveland.

Throw in the fact that the No. 1 spot is locked down with Denzel Ward as well as Cleveland drafting Martin Emerson from Mississippi State in Round 3 this season (which happened to be their first pick in the draft) and Williams finds himself in a very crowded room.

The NFL is a passing league, so you can never have too many corners, but the Browns can seriously go five deep which is great for them. It’s not great for a player entering the final season of his rookie deal — and has had some injury concerns already in his young career.
