With training camp in full force for the Cleveland Browns, it is a little strange that we haven’t heard more about these three players.

As we inch closer to Cleveland Browns football, there is still a load to unfold for this team before the start of the regular season. Right now, the Browns will be without Deshaun Watson for six games, but with an NFL appeal, it feels like that is sure the be lengthened.

Jacoby Brissett is working diligently to make sure he can lead this talented roster, but if the Watson suspension is extended significantly, Andrew Berry could still be in the trade market. Unfortunately, there are too many young guys in their prime to completely throw away a season.

As always you will see camp standouts and guys earning their stripes per se, but there are also a few guys who may not be living up to expectations. Here are three guys that have gone missing this camp.

Cleveland Browns players missing at camp No. 3 – Sione Takitaki

After many ups and downs in his first three years with Cleveland, it’s looking like Sione Takitaki may be in an uphill battle to even make the roster in 2022. The former third-round pick has started in 21 games over the last three years, but most of his playing time has been forced by injuries.

Many had Takitaki as a starter to begin the season, but the emergence of Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Jacob Phillips may push him to be a free agent. It’s worth noting in the opening depth chart of the season, that he was listed as No. 3 at middle linebacker.

Takitaki lacks athleticism and is a guy that would have been more fit for the NFL 15 years ago when teams wanted to run it down your throats. Without the speed, he also isn’t a great fit for special teams which is why a guy like Willie Harvey could be kept over him.

The Browns took two linebackers in the 2019 draft, Takitaki and Mack Wilson. After a trade to deal with Wilson a few months back, both look to be off the roster before the start of 2022.
