No. 2: How will the back end of the wide receiver room pan out?

There are likely two roster spots left for Stefanski and Berry to figure out in the wide receiver room. Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, rookie David Bell, and Anthony Schwartz are all locks to make the team, so what about the final two spots?

In each year of the Stefanski/Berry era, the Browns have carried six receivers on the 53-man roster heading into Week 1 of the regular season. Now, it is possible they elect to bring seven this year, but that’s mostly determined by where Demetric Felton fits on this roster, but we’ll get to him and the rest of the running backs in a bit.

Michael Woods II has had an impressive camp and would likely be a lead candidate to make the roster. Dawg Pound Daily’s own, Randy Gurzi, thinks Woods will be the sixth and final wide receiver on the roster, with Felton making the roster as a receiver/returner.

Speaking of return men, Ja’Marcus Bradley is a guy who can make the roster as he has been returning kicks during the preseason games.

Is there a wide receiver not currently on the roster that could be when the Browns travel to Carolina to take on Baker Mayfield and the Panthers in Week 1? There have been a plethora of hypothetical trades thrown out involving the Browns dealing one of their running backs in exchange for a receiver, and one of those is Eagles wideout, Jalen Reagor.

Zac Jackson of The Athletic thinks that Reagor could come to the Browns for D’Ernest Johnson. If you’re the Browns, that is definitely an option to explore. Both teams would benefit from this trade should it be called in.

Darius Slayton of the Giants has been another rumor mill trade candidate for the Browns. Veterans on the free agent market include Will Fuller V, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and of course, Odell Beckham Jr.

The Browns don’t necessarily need to make a move at the wide receiver position, but one of these guys could potentially add more talent to the room.
