Part of the fun of the regular season for many NFL fans is being able to get in on the action. For Cleveland Browns fans, this could include diving into some prop bets, which is basically any bet not tied to the final outcome.

There are many possible prop bets, including who will gain the most yards, who will score first, and what the overall halftime point total will be. Here, we check out the three best as the Browns travel to Carolina.

Browns vs. Panthers prop bet: First Drive Result

This first prop bet could be tricky. The idea is simple, just pick what the result of the first drive is going to be. If it’s a punt, the odds are -150, a field goal attempt is +430, and an offensive touchdown is +440. There’s an “any other” option as well, which includes turnovers, safeties, and defensive touchdowns. That one is sitting at +650.

What makes this tough is that it’s the first drive for whoever gets the ball first — rather than being able to predict how Cleveland or Carolina would do on their initial drive. If you felt strongly that one team would score a touchdown and the other would punt on the opening drive, you would also have to try and guess who gets the ball first.

Considering it’s Week 1 of the season, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the first drive end with the receiving team punting the ball away. But that’s also why that comes in as the favorite.
