Browns vs. Panthers prop bet: Player passing and rushing yards

It will be an interesting battle under center with Baker Mayfield playing his first game for the Panthers and Jacoby Brissett out there for the first time as a member of the Browns. The two are also part of an interesting prop bet that looks at their total passing and rushing yards.

For Mayfield, the betting starts at 140-plus-yards at -3,333. It then drops dramatically to -370 for 190-plus yards. From there, it’s -105 for 240-plus and then the payouts get bigger for more than 290 yards (+280) and 340-or-more (+800).

Brissett’s numbers are different as they start at 120-yard (-5,000) before going to 170-or-more (-455) and 220-plus (-115). He also sees positive numbers when the number grows to 270-plus (+280) and 320-plus (+800).

For what it’s worth, Mayfield had his best game in terms of yardage in Week 1 a year ago when he went for 321 yards passing and another seven as a runner. That would have had him at the +280 payout, but just under the biggest bet. Of course, the Browns’ defense is expected to be better this season than the Chiefs who he faced a year ago.

Brissett, on the other hand, didn’t get to play in Week 1 for Miami last season. His first appearance was in a 35-0 loss to Buffalo and he was 24-of-40 with 169 yards.

We’re not sure how he will look in Cleveland just yet, making him a risky proposition.
