Week 6 – vs. New England Patriots

Like the Chargers, the matchup with the New England Patriots looked like a tough one at the beginning of the year. And while the Patriots’ defense has been really good, the offense will likely be without Mac Jones at quarterback, and Brian Hoyer has also been placed on injured reserve.

In Week 5 it will most likely be rookie, Bailey Zappe under center which will be an extremely difficult task. Bill Belichick was likely comfortable with Hoyer but may push Jones back a week early, if possible, to play the Browns.

Remember, the Patriots play the Lions, Browns, Bears, and Jets over the next four weeks. Belichick is also famous for just winning games and not caring how it looks. If he can rest Jones and get him healthy and still go 3-1, he very well may do so. Even getting Jones back for the divisional game vs. the Jets could be a goal.

Either way, the Browns have a chance in this one. The Patriots like to run the football which has been problematic for Cleveland’s defense, but I also think the offense can put up enough points to keep this one close. If the Browns stay healthy, this is another one that they could win.
