1. Play with more emotion and energy

The Browns got beat badly last Sunday by the Patriots and that can have a negative effect on the players too. However, during the game, it seemed as though many players were simply going through the motions and didn’t seem invested in the game. The body language was less than stellar in the last couple of games, especially against New England. That type of lack of energy or spirit can really limit a team’s ability to succeed.

Every week this season, it seems like players and coaches are saying a lot of things and trying to put a spin on how hard they are working to correct their poor efforts to this point. So far, none of this talk is amounting to any type of change in what we’re seeing on the field.

Rather than talking about it, it’s time to stop talking about effort and commitment and prove it by showing out on Sundays. Actions always speak louder than words and this Browns squad needs to start following that philosophy.

Maybe getting back on the road and playing as a team Sunday will bring this group closer together and spark some more inspired play.
