2. Nick Chubb reaches 10 TDs on the year

On Sunday, Nick Chubb put his name in the record books along with some of the best running backs to ever play the game. When he scored a touchdown early in the game, it was already his eighth of the year and he’s had at least that many in each of his five seasons in the league.

The only other players to accomplish this feat would be Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Adrian Peters. There’s no reason to think he’s going to slow down either, even with the previous prediction that Cleveland will continue to throw the ball as much as they have.

Chubb can be an effective back without hitting the 20-carry mark every week, and really should get it fewer times than that. This preserves him, allowing him to continue his career longer (especially important given his previous knee issues), and be that much fresher when inside the 10-yard line. In this prediction, Chubb ends up getting a few shots in the red zone and runs in two touchdowns, making it 10 on the year in just eight games.

As good as Chubb has been in his career, he’s actually only had double-digit touchdowns once, which was in 2020 and he had 12. This year, he will easily get there and it could be as early as Sunday.
