2. Browns can be hard to beat when they have a lead

One of the most egregiously misquoted stats out there is when anyone uses the number of rushing attempts in correlation to a win.

Usually, it pops up during the broadcast and then gets recycled without any real context. For the Browns, it’s been how great their record is when Nick Chubb gets the ball 20 times or more.

The problem with this stat is that it doesn’t mean they’re winning because they ran so often. Instead, they’re usually running that much because they’re winning.

That was the case on Saturday as the Browns went up 13-3 in the second half and then started to give the ball to No. 24 and allowed him to move the chains and kill the clock.

Chubb did exactly that, running it 21 times for 99 yards. Of course, there will be those who add this to their stat about running equaling winning but what we should be paying attention to is how hard this offense will be to beat once they build a lead.

Saturday was the perfect example of that as Chubb iced the game with his punishing style of play. And had Cade York not missed two kicks, it would have even led to them extending the lead with this strategy.
