No. 1 Cleveland Browns potential draft gem: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah

Dalton Kincaid has been one of the best tight ends in college for the last couple of seasons and if the Browns are considering bringing another tight end onto the team, he could fit the bill. David Njoku has the No. 1 spot locked down but they might not be sold on Harrison Bryant in the No. 2 role after he took a step back in 2022, which leaves the door open for someone like Kincaid.

Kincaid finish with 70 receptions for 890 yards and eight touchdowns and for his career at Utah, he had 16 touchdowns on 107 receptions. He wasn’t just padding stats against lesser teams as he played well in big games too.

In the 2021 Rose Bowl game against Ohio State, he caught three passes for 45 yards that included a touchdown. In the Pac-12 Championship Game against Oregon, he caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in the win that got them into the previously mentioned Rose Bowl.

In 2022, he really stepped up his game as he had three games where he totaled over 100 yards. At the start of the season, when playing against Southern Utah he had seven receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He had the game of his life against USC when he hauled in 16 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown.

Finally, in a late-season affair against Colorado, he went for five receptions for 102 yards.

There are so many players in this year‘s draft that could make a difference for a multitude of teams, including Cleveland. Hopefully, the Browns continue to build up their talent pool and strengthen this team as they push toward a postseason berth next year.
