Free Agent No. 2 – Breshad Perriman, WR

Through seven years in the NFL, Breshad Perriman has been nothing but a journeyman already playing for four different teams in five different stints. Perhaps his most productive time in the NFL came in 2018 when he was with the Cleveland Browns.

Injuries late in the year gave Perriman the opportunity to see the field and he ended the season on a high note before signing with Tampa Bay the next offseason.

Perriman isn’t a guy that’s going to come in and get you 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns, but he would be a great fit as the third wide receiver next year. The former first-round pick from Central Florida has had two 500-plus-yard receiving seasons in his career, which is all the Browns would need from him

Remember, Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and Njoku are going to get the bulk of the looks on offense, but Perriman is more than capable of making a few big catches each game and being a huge part of this offense. With his experience in the league, Perriman could also be a great mentor for guys like David Bell and Michael Woods who are both early in their careers.

Receivers seem to always get overpaid in free agency, but I don’t look for Perriman’s market to be that hot. This would be a value signing by Berry that would be very low risk with the opportunity for a high reward which is exactly what he likes.
