Cleveland Browns scouting No. 4: Isaiah McGuire, DE, Missouri
The Browns have a former Missouri Tiger on their defensive line already in Jordan Elliott and they may be looking closely this week at another in Isaiah McGuire.
He’s had a steady couple of seasons leading into this Senior Bowl. He finished this season with 40 tackles including 14 for losses and 8.5 sacks, plus he recovered two fumbles.
An underrated edge in the 2023 draft is Missouri DE Isaiah McGuire (#9)

Sets the edge and can get after the QB

He’s considered very active with his attack on the opponent and can clog up the lanes and help his team shut down the run. He stands at 6-foot-4 and comes in at 265 pounds and is improving with every snap.
Cleveland Browns scouting No. 3: Julius Brents, DB, Kansas State
The tall and lanky 6-foot-4 cornerback, Julius Brents has been projected to be drafted in the later rounds, so while he may not be the best cornerback in this class, he has a lot of upside that may be intriguing to Cleveland.
He’s getting a lot of attention amongst those covering the Senior Bowl this week due to his impressive size and competitive nature.
The Iowa transfer played his last season at K-State and had a solid campaign that included 45 tackles and four interceptions. He caught the attention of many when he went for nine tackles and had a pass deflection in a game against the Oklahoma Sooners at the beginning of the year.
In the Big XII Championship game against TCU, he finished with three tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception.
He wouldn’t need to step into the starting lineup in Cleveland because they have some solid corners already in Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, and Martin Emerson. But you can never have too few cornerbacks and Brents would be a nice addition to Cleveland’s secondary.
