Early on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys swung a huge trade that might finally make up for the awful deal they made with the Cleveland Browns in 2022.
Dallas, who sent Amari Cooper to Cleveland for basically a fifth-round pick, just landed Brandin Cooks in exchange for a fifth and sixth-round selection. Making it more affordable, the Houston Texans are even eating one-third of his contract.
While it never seemed to heat up, there were rumors Cleveland was interested in Cooks, who played alongside Deshaun Watson for one season in Houston. Now that this move is officially off the table, here are three more wideouts the Browns could look to add via trade.
Browns trade target No. 3: Kendrick Bourne
After years of looking for players dedicated solely to football, Bill Belichick changed his tune as he and the New England Patriots signed JuJu Smith-Schuster to a three-year, $33 million deal. The part-time NFL wide receiver is known more for his real hobby, which is making annoying TikTok videos.
It will be interesting to see if he tones those down, or maybe gets Belichick to join him for another exciting "Corvette Corvette" performance.
While it's still a weird pairing, Smith-Schuster's arrival could spell the end for Kendrick Bourne. Added on a three-year deal ahead of the 2021 season, Bourne saw his usage drop in 2022 and might be on the block.
He's not a household name but as a WR3, he could prove to be a threat. He's a sure-handed receiver that runs cleans routes, which would help Cleveland move on from Anthony Schwartz who has struggled in each of those areas.
Browns trade target No. 2: Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
One name that Cleveland continues to be linked to is Jerry Jeudy, a former first round pick out of Alabama. Jeudy has been a solid player with 157 receptions for 2,295 yards and nine touchdowns in three seasons but Denver expected more when they selected him in 2020 — ahead of CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson nonetheless.
While it's true he hasn't been the same game-changer as Lamb or Jefferson, the Broncos know he's also had some issues to deal with. That includes inconsistent quarterback play from Drew Lock and even Russell Wilson in 2022. They also know he has the talent to continue to grow from his 972-yard campaign with Wilson.

For that reason, Denver is rumored to be asking for quite the package to move on from Jeudy. Perhaps they hold to that and keep him but with his name floated on the block under two different head coaches now, it could be hard to get him to buy into whatever they're selling.
That's why the idea of a trade will still have life. And if the price comes down at all, the Browns would be wise to pounce.
Sure, there will be those angry about giving up the 42nd pick in the draft (which they would have to do in order to get Jeudy) but if a second-round wideout had close to the numbers Jeudy did last season, no one would call that a bad pick. Meaning, they would be getting the value they needed.
Browns trade target No. 1: Elijah Moore, New York Jets
In 2021, Elijah Moore was a name that many draft pundits felt the Cleveland Browns should target. The Ole Miss product had a great collegiate career but really went off during a Covid-shortended 2020 campaign.
That year, he had 86 receptions for 1,193 yards, and eight touchdowns in just eight games. Considered a borderline Round 1 talent, Moore landed with the New York Jets at pick 34 — which was the second choice in Round 2.
Now entering his third season, Moore has shown plenty of flashes and even had 538 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie while appearing in just 11 games. Of course, this led to Gang Green wanting "Moore."

That's not how things went as he found himself in the dog house for part of the 2022 campaign. Moore was used less and finished with 37 catches for 446 yards with a single touchdown despite playing in 16 games.
Now, his name has been floated as a trade target — which actually started during the season in 2022. Cleveland is one of the teams reportedly interested and they absolutely should be.
Moore is everything they need at the position. He's young, fast, sure-handed — and even has an affordable salary with two years remaining on his rookie deal.
What's more, is they wouldn't have to give up their top pick in the draft in order to obtain him. There's hardly any downside to this move, which makes it the top option left if the Browns were looking to upgrade through a trade.
