So far, this offseason has been impressive for general manager Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns. They've filled nearly every hole, including the third wide receiver spot when theyadded Elijah Moore in a trade with the New York Jets.

Throw in the Dalvin Tomlinson and Juan Thornhill signings and this has been an A-plus offseason. That's without even getting into the re-signings, which includes bringing back Anthony Walker, Jr. who was a leader of the defense.

With all that being said, here are three moves that would ensure the Browns had the perfect offseason.

3. Browns should still add another DT in the draft

Tomlinson's addition gives the Browns a run-stuffer in the middle of the line but he's not a traditional 1-tech despite being 324-pounds. While he can play that position, he had his best success with the Minnesota Vikings while setting up as the 3-tech.

He won't blow up the stat sheet with sacks or quarterback pressures but he can be a disruptive force in this role. But in order to let him play to his strengths, Cleveland would be wise to go after another big guy at the position.

Keeanu Benton is a name to watch as the 6-foot-4, 309-pounder from Wisconsin would be an excellent fit. The question is whether or not he lasts until the Browns first pick which is now at pick 73. They do have eight total picks though, so perhaps a trade-up is in order.

Another option is to go with someone such as Zacch Pickens from South Carolina. He's not as big as Benton but is very athletic. He would be another 3-tech but can still work alongside Tomlinson in certain situations while helping to improve their overall depth.

2. Browns need to bring in Jerick McKinnon

As good as Nick Chubb is, the Browns can't go into the season expecting him to carry the load all by himself. Sure, they have Jerome Ford but if they believed he was good enough to be RB2, they would have given him more than eight carries last season — especially since Kareem Hunt was struggling.

On top of that, while Ford did show off some athleticism and soft hands at the Scouting Combine, there's nothing that says he will be as dangerous in the passing game as Kareem Hunt was at one point. With that being the case, Cleveland should bring in Jerick McKinnon who spent last season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

McKinnon is a seasoned veteran who has been in the NFL since 2014 and played for three different teams. He overcame injuries that cost him both the 2018 and 2019 campaigns and then had his best season as a pass-catcher last year. McKinnon finished with 56 receptions for 512 yards and nine touchdowns.

He's also an unselfish player, which he proved when he slid down at the two-yard line to allow his team to run out the clock and kick a game-winner in the Super Bowl, rather than run in an easy touchdown and take the glory for himself.

At 31-years of age, he wouldn't be a long-term answer but as a check-down option for Deshaun Watson, he would be a great addition.

1. Browns should sign Yannick Ngakoue

As good as the move for Ogbo Okoronkwo was, the Browns would be foolish to head into the 2023 season without adding another pass rusher. Not only is Okoronkwo still a bit of a projection signing but they've also had the worst luck in the league when it comes to keeping their defensive ends healthy.

Chase Winovich was added last season and missed nearly the entire year. Jadeveon Clowney was pretty much a constant on the injury report throughout his two-year stint and even when he did suit up, there was no guarantee he would make it the entire game.

Myles Garrett has been the most durable but even he missed time in 2022 when he had a car accident one day after practice.

Right now, they're one injury away from Alex Wright starting and while the third-round pick from UAB has a lot of promise, he has yet to put it all together. For that reason, the Browns should go out and sign another defensive end and there's a 10-sack guy there for the taking.

Yannick Ngakoue has struggled to find a permanent home which is odd since he never struggles to find the quarterback. Last year with the Indianapolis Colts, he had 9.5 sacks and put up 10 the year prior while splitting time with the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens.

In his career, he has 65 sacks in 110 career games. He's still yet to find a home and has been linked to the Browns in the past. Now would be a good time to bring him in and ensure they had a potentially elite rotation.
